Postpartum Care

My support doesn't stop just because the baby has come! Postpartum care is essential for integrating this new life you have brought into the world. During these postpartum visits there is plenty to talk about and work on together. These visits are personal to you and we will customize them together to make them feel the most valuable.

• I will offer help with breastfeeding
  

• Offer emotional support
  

• Go over your birth story (which I will take notes on throughout labor and birth)
  

• Give you a chance to share how your birth experience was for you and help you create your story by piecing our recollections together.

• Check in with partner (if applicable).

• Give you referrals if necessary for things like pelvic floor therapy, nutrition, sleep therapy, etc.

  
  

  Overnight Postpartum Support

The United States is one of the few places in the world that expects new parents to conquer the newborn stage all by themselves. This is a bit unreasonable! Everyone can benefit from some extra support, especially when it comes to sleep. It truly takes a village to care a baby and in the first several weeks it’s very important to not get burnt out. Sleep will help you tremendously. Overnight services give parents the opportunity to sleep through the night and wake up fresh in the morning knowing that their baby was properly nourished and cared for throughout the night.

The schedule for overnight support varies depending on the family wishes. If this kind of support is something you’re interested in, let me know and we can figure out a plan that will work best for you.

Overnight support costs $45/hr. with a minimum of eight hours per night.
